Food & Drink

Northern Ireland has a rich agricultural legacy. Small producers are famed for their many types of breads (such as potato bread, soda farls and wheaten loaves) seafood such as smoked salmon and dulse, cured meats, cheeses and new products such as black butter.

Local drinks such as Jawbox gin, Bushmills whiskey and craft beers can be tasted as part of a tour or simply in the many lively bars around Northern Ireland. Whiskey tasting is a popular draw for many international visitors. A must-see in Belfast is a trip to St Georges Market where many of the local producers sell their delicacies and will often let you taste for free. You can also pick up souvenirs, antiques and artworks to take back home. It is the perfect place to buy a gift for your family and friends. Or just be cheeky and keep them for yourself!
